Caitlin had always known that she wanted to help people.

From a young age, she had volunteered at the local homeless shelter and it had become a passion of hers. When she finished university, she knew she wanted to become a social worker, to help those who needed it most. So, she applied for the ASYE programme and was accepted.

The programme was challenging, but Caitlin felt like she was making a difference. She was working with some of the most vulnerable members of society, and her work was having an impact. She spent long hours at work, but the rewards made it worth it.

"There were definitely challenges, but knowing that I was making a difference to people's lives made it all worthwhile."

Josef, her supervisor, was impressed with Caitlin's work.

"Caitlin has become an important member of the team. She has a natural ability to connect with people, which is essential in social work."

Caitlin had learned a lot during her ASYE year. She had gained experience working with a diverse range of people and had developed her skills in communication, problem-solving, and decision-making. She had also learned how to manage her emotions when working with difficult situations.

"The ASYE programme has been a great experience for me, I've learned so much and grown as a person. I'm excited to continue my journey as a social worker and make a positive impact on people's lives."

With the ASYE programme completed, Caitlin was now a qualified social worker. She was ready to take on the challenges of the job and make a real difference in people's lives.
